What to look for in durable luggage
Warranty
If you are looking to spend a lot on quality luggage, I recommend that you choose a company with a lifetime or limited warranty. The warranty on luggage covers damage from airlines or general wear and tear.
Quality Zipper
Quality zippers are an important feature of a suitcase. This is something that many people overlook. If your zipper breaks, you won’t be able to repair it at the airport or overseas.
Most standard zippers come in either a chain or a coil design. The more durable and reliable option is the chain.
Quality Wheels
Make sure the luggage has at least four wheels. Also, ensure that the wheels can be rotated 360 degrees and that they are attached to the luggage with multiple screws.
The first thing to be repaired on luggage is the wheels. (Cobblestones and wheels are not a good match). You can replace your wheels in most luggage shops, or order new ones online.
Solid Materials
Hardshell suitcases are more durable than soft shell ones. They are usually made from polycarbonate or ABS, aluminum and polypropylene. These materials can handle all the bumps and hazards that flying brings with them with ease, while keeping your belongings safe.
There are many durable softshell luggage options available. Look for Cordura nylon and ballistic nylon when looking for a softshell option.
How to choose the best checked luggage for you
Scope
Consider what purpose you will use your luggage before you buy it. Do you travel fashion girl mainly for business? Or do you prefer to go on long-term, nature-based trips? These options will impact the size of your suitcase and make it easier for you to carry on your trip.
Size
When choosing checked luggage, convenience is key. For business trips that are short, a smaller and more compact bag will likely work. If you are on a longer trip, you will need something bigger and more versatile.
Color
Do not let your bag get lost among the black bags on the carousel. Instead, buy a bag that has a bit of color! I love customizing bags with unique colors and personalizing them with tags or other identification features.
Expandability
Do you find yourself returning from trips with more stuff than you brought? If so, you will need to either pack light or buy a bag that can expand.
Weight
It is important to consider the weight of your bag, without any belongings inside. This is especially important if your baggage travel fashion girl tends to be heavy or light. You don’t have to overpack, but you should ensure that your bag is compliant with airline regulations so that you avoid paying overweight baggage fees.
